Who is responsible

GameSigna is an app by RetamApps. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].

In short

Using the app without an account

Your games, hours, ratings, diary, sessions and alerts are stored only on your phone. To search for games and show their pages and prices, the app asks our server, and those requests carry nothing that identifies you. Release and price-drop alerts are checked on your own phone: the server does not know which games you are watching.

If your phone backs up to your Google account with Android backup, that backup includes the app's data. Google runs it, not us, and it can be turned off in Android settings.

Signing in with Google

The server stores:

What others see. By default your profile is public: your name (the one you set or, if you set none, your Google account's), picture, @, bio, showcase and activity. In Settings → Social privacy you choose who can follow you and who sees your showcase and activity (everyone, your followers or nobody), whether you post activity or ratings, and whether you appear in Discover. Name, @ and bio are always visible: they are what says whose profile it is.

The legal basis is providing the service you ask for when you create the account. Your data is kept while you have the account. You can delete it from the app or as explained on delete account; everything is deleted at once.

Do not create an account if you are under 14.

Importing from Steam

The server receives your Steam profile link or id, uses it to ask the Steam API for your library, hours and achievements, and does not store it. Your Steam id stays on your phone so achievements can be refreshed. Steam only answers if your profile and game details are public.

Reporting a profile

We store who reports, who is reported, the reason and the date, so it can be reviewed under the community rules. The report is deleted if either account is deleted.

Purchases

PLATINUM is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment: we never see your card and store nothing about the purchase. The app asks Google Play whether you have PLATINUM.

Usage stats

We count, without knowing whose they are, how many searches there are per day and which game pages are opened. Who searched and what they typed is never stored: no user, no text, no IP.

Signing up for the beta on this site

We store your email, the site language and the date, for one thing only: sending you the Google Play beta invite. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email; it deletes your row at once. Everything is deleted when the beta ends.

Who else is involved

Where any of them processes data outside the European Union, it does so under the safeguards the GDPR requires (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).

Your rights

Write to [email protected] for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection. If you think your data has not been handled properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or your local authority.

If this policy changes in any important way, we will say so in the app before it applies.
